Tuesday Tip: Getting Through Scrappers Block

Have you ever caught yourself in a state where you no longer know what to do with your photos and supplies? Like you couldn't put things into one LO? Or you never know what to do with that pile of photos in your box? I've had to fight with scrappers block several times and often I would just let time pass and get back when I feel refreshed with ideas again. But, some times, resting just doesn't help. I am guessing, that I am not the only one who has had this. Here are a few resources that might probably help you out in avoiding a scrappers block:

Online Galleries.
That's right. There are about hundreds of insipration you could find from hundreds of galleries in different sites. From single photo LOs to multiple LOs, simple LOs to shabby and chic, to unique, modern and classic LOs. You can scraplift different designs and LOs that fancy your taste,

Scrapbook Publications (Magazines, Guide Books, etc)
If you have the time, borrowing books from the library still helps. There are a lot of Scrapbooking Guides with LOs to show off. Aside from that, books usually explain their LO designs so next time you try to put something together, you have an idea of how to do it better.

Ads, billboards, TV commercials
Sometimes, we take for granted the things that we can get something from around us. Ads are a good way to look for color inspiration, design and LO inspiration. IN fact, there are a lot of site challenges that would use these images. Take these ads for example:

There are indeed a lot of things you can come up with just by looking at these ads.

Artist's Works
What better way to look for inspiration than from an artist's artwork! You'll find the best color combos for sure! Take Van Gogh's Provence painting for example:

Very inspiring in its every aspect, right?

Templates
Oh, what would we do without them. They make a scrapper's life so much easier to live ;) Speaking of templates, Mel's got a ton of them to offer you and they're not just ordinary templates. Her Templistic series can be found at her stores in Gotta Pixel and Scrapbook-bytes. I've used some of them and they've been very helpful in speeding up creating my scrapbooking LOs.

...and last but not the least, what about scraplifting and modifying your old LOs? You know, changing photo and/or LO orientation; replacing colors, adding, removing, or changing elements, etc. They are the easiest to get inspiration from.

So, that's it for now. I am sure you can come up with other inspiration than just these. Do share it with us if you have any more ideas and we'd love to hear from you too!

'Til next time!

Thank you for all the great idea. I am hoping to get back to scrapping after taking 3 years off for two joint replacements and back surgery and all your ideas really inspired me.
Thank you so much.
Hugs!
