One of my favorites

I really enjoy creating stacked paper freebies, I love to use them for my pages, and I fell like they are versatile and beautiful. That said, I made a stacked paper using Flamboyant (available at Gotta Pixel and Scrapbook Bytes)

Also a new kit that I'm so excited with how it turned out! When I was a little girl, my mother bought me a beautiful mirrored music box. On the front side of the mirror a butterfly stuck to it (from a magnet). You could wind it up in the back and it would play You Light Up My Life as the butterfly "skated" across the surface of the mirror. It was just beautiful. We moved when I was 13 and the movers broke it. I was so sad because it was such a special music box. Now that my mom is gone on to Heaven, I think of the importance of that song and how she felt about me. This kit is inspired by that music box:)

Happy Father's Day

My son helped me put together this little card and Gift card sleeve.  We went through most of Mel's kits to find a collection of bits and pieces that you might find in a boy's pocket.  If you need a last minute gift, snag a card at the grocery store, pop it into the sleeve, add your own message inside and viola- you're done!

Most of the supplies are from Puppydog Tails, with additions from My Girl, Summer Lovin', Zoolicious, and some CU bits. 

p.s. when you cut out the gift card sleeve, make your tabs longer than I made the printed ones. It will make assembling the sleeve much easier. I used the sticky glue strip that held the gift card to the cardboard, to hold the sleeve in my card.

I love the simplicity of this layout, I also love how the colors from the photo are echoed in the colors of the paper. The elements are grounding the photo frame it nicely.
