I loved the idea and decided that I had to give it a try. It was harder than I thought it would be, Mel has a lot of things in that list! 

Here is my layout, I used mostly items from Bloom's Symphony, but I had hunt around a few other of Mel's kits to fill out the required elements.

Layout of the Week

ScrapbookBytes recently celebrated their 8th birthday party and had a huge celebration.  I hope you were part of it, because it was lots of fun!!  I found a layout by Janbull that I had to feature because it is awesome.  It was a tough decision, because there were so many great layouts.  This is is using Mel's Revitalize kit.

I have a freebie for you!

I decided to use one of Mel's older kits for a freebie today. I fell in love with the kit Always and Forever. I plan on scrapping a lot of my sister's wedding with this kit. I'm also hoping for a vow renewal with my husband next year, whether at home or at Disney World and these colors would match perfectly. Mel has so many amazing kits and I think you all should get to see some of them in case you might have missed them in the stores.

Mel has been hard at work lately and has created so many wonderful kits. My newest favorite is Awakening,  I love the mix of pinks, purples, blues and greens. You can pick up Awakening in one of Mel's stores.

Challenge Time!

Hi everyone! I thought I'd mix things up a bit and do a challenge ... It should pretty easy!

You need to use these elements/papers on your layout:
1 picture
1 artistic smear/paint splatter
1 animal/bug/etc.
1 glittery something
2 word title
2 pieces of paper
2 strings
3 sentences of journaling
4 flowers

Here's my layout ... maybe it'll jump start your creativity today!

Layout of the Week

It was hard to choose a layout this week. There were so many that I loved but this one really stood out to me. The kit used is The Beautiful Life. The composition is amazing and the clustering of the elements are beautiful. Her journal of resolutions, I think, applies to many of us. Plus she did it all without a picture!

Layouts of the Week

I hope you all enjoyed your holidays. We had a nice relaxing New Year's Eve at home with the children and let them all stay up to ring in the new year. Then they all fell asleep quickly. Now I have my daughter's 2nd birthday party to prepare for in three weeks! The time sure does fly by.

The first Layout of the Week uses Romance Me. I love the sepia tone of the picture with the red flowers against it. The lace borders really compliment it well.

Don't forget to leave her some love!

The next layout uses The Beautiful Life. The composition is stunning. I love the photos in the corners. The stitched round ribbon really draws your attention to the fun photos.
